Megan Kizer, Supervising Improvement Partner, pursued her own educational path at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She began working for Kalamazoo Public Schools directly up to graduation; an urban school district known for its scholarship program, The Kalamazoo Promise. It was here, and under the opportunity such a generous scholarship provides, that she developed an additional passion for preparing traditionally underserved students for college and beyond. Megan joined Partners in School Innovation in May 2013 and has served in many roles in the last ten years, from individual contributor to leading a team of other change agents seeking to make a difference. She holds her M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and spends her free time gardening, teaching Zumba, and getting into good trouble.
